With heavy hearts the Pioneer Fire Company announces the passing of Life Member and former Assistant Engineer Dave Doyle at the age of 68. Dave was born in 1955. He was a long-time resident of Jenkintown, who for many years worked as a mechanic and instrument repairman. Dave worked around what he always loved, cars and music.

Dave joined the Pioneer Fire Company initially in 1974. He served the community primarily as an apparatus driver/pump operator. Utilizing his skills and experience as a mechanic, Dave served as an Assistant Engineer from 2000 until 2010. Dave played an instrumental role in returning our 1934 Ford Antique from private ownership back into the company and with many of the initial repairs of this apparatus.

He leaves behind many dear friends as well as his fellow firefighters.
